I've been working on a big animation project (2000 frames is big for two
computers and 1.2 gig drive!).  The bug I've found is if you run out of
drive space Lightwave hangs or gurus.  I was rendering framestores to the
1.2 gig drive and thought I'd render as many as the drive would hold before
dumping them to tape.. well the drive filled up and Lightwave hung in the
'grey screen' transfer mode (when it's updating the videotoaster
framebuffer).  Resetting the computer is the only way out of this.  I
remember on older versions of Lightwave it would bring up an "out of space
- error writing framestore" message.  It's a pain to have to completely
reboot and reload the scene file when rendering to 150meg Bernoulli
cartridges for example.
